At Middle Country Medical Care, we specialize in all kinds of vaccination for children. As per AAP’s recommendations, we can immunize your child from various diseases with a combination of vaccines to cut down the number of injections.
Allergy Testing
Allergic reactions are very common in children. There is no specific age for a child to develop a certain type of allergy. Diagnosis can provide answers for various problems like constant running nose, cough, colds, etc.
Diagnosis of allergies is done via a particular skin allergy test. Blood test named radioallergosorbent (RAST) is also performed to determine allergies. It detects response of antibodies to allergies.
The most common types of allergies are:
- Food allergies
- Milk or egg allergies
- Fish or shellfish allergies
- Hay fever
- Hives
- Dermatitis
- Seasonal allergies
- Allergic asthma
- Penicillin allergy
- Pet allergies
